OK, so I have been gone for quite some time. Organizing movers, mortgage brokers, lawyers, appliance deliveries (or absolute lack there of - ABSOLUTELY DO NOT EVER SHOP AT THE BRICK), packing, unpacking, studying, finals, registration, exams, panicking students, furniture shopping and sports tournaments have pretty much sucked up the last 2+ months of my life.
The worst part of the whole process was dealing with The Brick. The lying employees which have little to ZERO interest in helping their customers once they have taken your money. After repeatedly cancelling my deliveries (without contacting me, leaving me sitting at home waiting for something that’s never to arrive). After speaking to my sales person several times and finally being guaranteed that I would be getting them the following week, they called on Monday and said the stove would not be coming, again. After calling Customer Service to find out why, they said that the washer wasn’t coming either, but Mary didn’t bother to share that tidbit of information (useless cow). I got pissed off and cancelled my order. Oh, they are VERY efficient in that matter, and PROMISED me that there would be no issues in getting a refund, which I had high doubts about. So of course, when I go to get my refund, they refused, and offered no help other then that. And when their Customer Service gets an irrate customer on the phone, angry that their appliances never show up, and have a huge problem getting their money back, HANG UP ON THEM!
Unfortunately, after the fact, everyone asks me why I even bothered to deal with them. Granted I got corporate pricing, and saved about 2000$, but I would have gladly spent the extra money elsewhere just so that I would have RECEIVED my appliances in a timely fashion. Then I wouldn’t have had to cancel my plumber repeatedly because of stuff not showing up when it was supposed to.
I have to say though, that I am very impressed with Andre from Leon’s, who immediately got the appliances I needed (not the discontinued models that don’t even exist anymore that The Brick was trying to sell me) and I had delivery in LESS THEN 24 HOURS. I would highly recommend him (1780 Heron Road), just tell him that the irrate appliance-less ex-Brick customer sent you; but I expect with the mass number of us, he may not know exactly who you mean.
The Brick must be the absolutely WORSE company that I have ever dealt with in my life. I feel sorry for any bastard that is employed with them. There is no communication involved and their interest in calling back customers who are wondering why they are sitting in their new home for a month without a stove so that they can eat is completely beyond my comprehension. I would put a complaint into their head office, but I figured that there is no point in wasting my time any further with them, as it seems to be a corporate mentality. Now I expect that hell will freeze over before I even receive my refund check from them in any sort of timely manner.
